Form and uses of the simple present tense
Simple Present Tense

Use (1) | It is used to talk about things that are always true. |
Examples | I live in Morocco. The sun rises in the east The sky is blue |
Use (2) | It is used to talk about habits or routines |
Examples | He smokes. Dogs bark. Cats drink milk. |
Use (3) | It is used with adverbs or adverb phrases such as: usually, always, rarely, never, often, sometimes, occasionally, every week, on Mondays, twice a year etc. |
Examples | I play football everyday. I sometimes go to the cinema. She rarely gets up at 6 a.m.. The always drink tea at night. |
Use (4) | It is used to talk about time tables or schedules. (future reference) |
